Inquire

The first step when looking to hire the Ashley MacDonald Floral Designs team is to complete our submission form. This form gives us a basic outline of numbers, location, and floral needs. Once you have submitted the form, you will receive a welcome letter with more information to better prepare you for the next steps. Upon submission, someone from the Ashley MacDonald team will be in touch to confirm that we are available for your date, answer any questions you may have, and to assist you in the booking process.

Booking

To officially book with Ashley MacDonald Floral Designs and secure your wedding date, we require a signed contract and a $2,500 retainer. Once these are received, we’ll schedule

your initial consultation. This policy ensures that we can fully dedicate our time and resources to each event. We suggest making the decision to book as soon as possible, as we book nine to twelve months in advance. Unlike many other floral designers in the area, we limit our commitments to one wedding per day—and often only one wedding per weekend—depending on the scope of the event. This approach allows us to deliver the highest level of service and attention to detail for our clients. By signing the contract, you’re simply agreeing to meet our $10,000 minimum (before tax and labor) and securing your requested date on our calendar. The only way to secure your event date is by completing this booking process. Once we’ve received your signed contract and retainer, we’ll provide available dates for your initial consultation and a pre-consultation form for you to complete.

Consultation

The pre-consultation form must be filled out in order to meet with Ashley. We use this form to gather information needed to prepare an initial design concept which will be presented to you at your first consultation. Consultations are held at our design studio. If you cannot make it to the studio due to timing or living out of town, we are more than happy to continue the process via Zoom. Our consultations last approximately one hour. This is where you will personally meet with

Ashley, who is there to listen, offer suggestions, and get a better understanding of what your floral event dreams look like and how we can make them a reality. Each wedding is uniquely tailored, making it virtually impossible to provide a "ballpark" estimate during the initial consultation. One to two weeks after the consultation, you will receive a starting proposal and design board. These are flexible and can be adjusted to better suit your preferences.

Final Consultation

Once you have officially booked, you will be provided with a payment schedule. These payment dates will be listed on your contract. A final meeting will be scheduled closer to your event date.. During the final consultation, we’ll finalize all remaining details, including miscellaneous areas, the guest count, and any other specifics. The final payment will be due on the date listed on the contract once all final revisions are made.

*Any other consultations requested by the client will be an additional $100 fee.

*Any “Mock Up” or “Samples” requested by client will be an additional charge based on set value listed under the clients proposal.
